Regular Season Round 3: Levski Lukoil - Yambol 92-62

No shocking result in a game when Levski Lukoil (3-0) crushed Yambol (0-3) in Sofia 92-62. Levski Lukoil dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Yambol's 30. Levski Lukoil forced 21 Yambol turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Yambol was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Brandon Young (193-91, college: DePaul) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals. The former international forward Yordan Minchev (202-98) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Levski Lukoil players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Stavian Allen (201-95, college: Norfolk St.) with 12 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Darin Ivanov (184-91) scored 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Levski Lukoil will play against Spartak Pleven (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Yambol will play against Cherno More in Varna and hopes to get finally their first victory.
