Regular Season Round 4: Wels - St.Poelten 87-88

Important game to mention about took place in Wels. Eighth ranked UBC St. Poelten (2-2) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (2-2) 88-87 in the fight for the fourth place. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels were ahead by 14 points after three quarters before a 27-12 charge of UBC St. Poelten, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by American guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who scored that evening 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists and the former international forward Florian Trmal (199-89, agency: Dynamics Global Management) supported him with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Even 21 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Cameron DeLaney (193-95, college: SHSU) did not help to save the game for Raiffeisen Flyers Wels. The former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. UBC St. Poelten moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Raiffeisen Flyers Wels. UBC St. Poelten will play against Hallmann (#9) in Vienna in the next round where they are favorite. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels will play on the road against the league's leader Dukes (#1) in Klosterneuburg and hope to get back on the winning track.
