Regular Season Round 6: Palanga - Silales Lusis 83-85

Silales Lusis can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Palanga, where they edged Palanga (1-5) 85-83. They outrebounded Palanga 41-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for center Eimantas Zilius (200-99) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Valdas Undraitis (200-90) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Silales Lusis players scored in double figures. American point guard Quincy Taylor (183-91, college: Longwood) replied with 26 points and 5 rebounds and center Robertas Keliacius (208-97) added 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Palanga. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Silales Lusis left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Palanga. It was Palanga's fifth loss in a row. Silales Lusis will play against higher ranked Zalgiris II (#6) in Kaunas in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Palanga will play at home against Gargzdu (#9) to get more than just one victory in their record.
