Regular Season Round 2: Mamak - Manisa 81-65

The most surprising game was a loss of Manisa (1-1) on the court of Mamak on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Mamak 81-65. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Forward Mustafa Gorur (204-88) scored 23 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Ricky Tarrant (188-93, college: Memphis) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Australian forward Jesse Hunt (203-97, college: EWU) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and guard Alican Guney (194-89) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mamak is looking forward to face Samsun (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Manisa will play against Bandirma Kir. (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
