Regular Season Round 5: ETB Wohnbau - Wulfen 81-88

The game between closely ranked teams ended with bottom-ranked ETB Wohnbau's (0-8) home loss to thirteenth ranked BSV Wulfen (3-5) 81-88 on Saturday. BSV Wulfen dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to ETB Wohnbau's 42. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Center Michael Haucke (210-85) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Bryant Allen (183-90, college: Dakota St.) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. BSV Wulfen's coach Gary Johnson used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. American guard Chris Alexander (186-83, college: Southern) responded with 31 points and British power forward Radwan Bakkali (208-96, college: Indianapolis) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. BSV Wulfen moved-up to ninth place in West, which they share with Grevenbroich and Hagen BG. ETB Wohnbau lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. BSV Wulfen will face higher ranked Ibbenbueren (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ETB Wohnbau will play against the league's leader Koeln Rh.Stars (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
