No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Ibbenbueren (6-2) won against on the road 8th ranked Leverkusen 2 (4-4) 63-58 on Saturday. Ibbenbueren forced 25 Leverkusen 2 turnovers. American guard Bryce Leavitt (194-94, college: Seattle Pacific) stepped up and scored 13 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Italian-Argentinian point guard Juan-Manuel Barga (189-94) chipped in 6 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Montenegrin center Dzemal Selimovic (205-99) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Jacob Engelhardt (178-97) scored 11 points and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Ibbenbueren. They moved-up to second place in West, which they share with Herford. Loser Leverkusen 2 keeps the eighth position with four games lost. Ibbenbueren will face BSV Wulfen (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Leverkusen 2 will play against the league's second-placed Herford and hope to win that game.
