Arel Univ used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Acibadem 71-69 on Saturday night. Arel Univ forced 19 Bahcehir turnovers. Strangely Bahcehir outrebounded Arel Univ 58-39 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Safak Yurdakulu (-1) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. Selahattin Yalcin (-1) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was Bartu Yilmaz (-1) with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds and guard Eray Durmayaz (189-1) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Arel Univ's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Fenerbahce.
