Regular Season Round 3: Linz Wels - Vienna Utd. Post 61-63

A very close game took place in (derby !!!) between Flying Foxes and Linz Wels. Flying Foxes (2-1) got a very close victory on the road over Linz Wels (0-3). Flying Foxes managed to escape with a 2-point win 63-61 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 19-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Flying Foxes forced 19 Linz Wels turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Spanish guard Agueda Trujillo (180-95, college: Idaho) who led the winners and scored 31 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Diana Picorusevic (160-92) accounted for 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Point guard Lisa Ganhor (168-1) came up with 26 points and 4 assists and point guard Valerie Voithofer (170-1) added 6 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Linz Wels in the defeat. Linz Wels' coach Dana Beszczysnki tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Flying Foxes will meet BK Duchess (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Linz Wels will play against Basket Flames in Vienna and hope to get finally their first victory.
