There was an upset in Ulm where higher ranked OrangeAcademy (2-3) was defeated by twelfth ranked Coburg (1-4) 58-53 on Saturday. Coburg forced 20 OrangeAcademy turnovers. OrangeAcademy was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Constantin Ebert (184-96) stepped up and scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Nigerian-American forward Princeton Onwas (198-93, college: SJSU) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Moritz Krimmer (202-0) responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds and forward Christoph Philipps (203-98) scored 12 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Coburg left bottom position moving up to ninth place in South, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser OrangeAcademy dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Coburg will face Loewen (#11) in Erfurt in the next round.
