No shocking result in a game in Sumy where top-ranked SumDU (2-0) smashed 7th ranked DYUSH-DOR (1-3) 75-53 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-53. SumDU dominated on the defensive end, holding DYUSH-DOR to just 6 points in second and third quarters. SumDU forced 23 DYUSH-DOR turnovers. Point guard Igor Starodub (187-97) fired 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Point guard Georgiy Altuhov (180-96) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. Center Pavlo Riazantsev (202-95) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Yuriy Strizhevskiy (180-92) added 5 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SumDU moved-up to third place, which they share with Khimik-2. Loser DYUSH-DOR dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. SumDU will face league's leader KDPU in Kryvyi Rih in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
