Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Istanbul: Istanbul Uni (#2) and Fenerbahce G. (#10). Istanbul Uni (4-0) smashed visiting Fenerbahce G. (1-2) by 18 points 72-54. They outrebounded Fenerbahce G. 47-24 including a 16-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for point guard Yagmur Bul (164-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Canadian center Saicha Grant-Allen (196-95, college: Dayton) contributed with 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Ukrainian center Olena Staschuk (192-85, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Merve Ari (180-98, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Fenerbahce G.Istanbul Uni have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Emlak Konut. Newly promoted Fenerbahce G. keeps the tenth place with two games lost. Istanbul Uni will face Urla BLD (#14) in Izmir in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Fenerbahce G. will play at home against Mersin Uni (#16) and hope to win that game.
