Regular Season Round 4: Dnipro-2 - Niko-Basket 60-79

Another exciting game was between fifth ranked Niko-Basket and one of their biggest challengers Dnipro-2 where Niko-Basket (3-1) crushed Dnipro-2 (2-2) on the road with 19-point difference 79-60. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Niko-Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Niko-Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Vadim Zaplotinskiy (200-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Bogdan Lukian (183-99) contributed with 19 points, 9 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Niko-Basket players scored in double figures. Forward Roman Bondarchuk (196-98) replied with 13 points and forward Pavlo Bondarenko (200-99) added 7 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Dnipro-2. Dnipro-2's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Niko-Basket keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Mariupol and KDPU. Dnipro-2 at the other side keeps the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Zhytomyr. Niko-Basket will play against Novomoskovsk (#8) in Dnipro in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dnipro-2 will play on the road against the league's second-placed Mariupol (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
