Regular Season Round 4: Naestved - Copenhagen 103-64
Date: October 23, 2019
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Copenhagen (2-4) against fourth ranked Naestved (4-2) on Wednesday night. Visiting Copenhagen was crushed by Naestved in Naestved 103-64. The game without a history. Naestved led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Copenhagen's 34. They outrebounded Copenhagen 41-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Copenhagen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for American-Nigerian guard Uche Ofoegbu (196-93, college: UNLV) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Dominican-Austrian swingman Carlos Mateo (198-92) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Naestved players scored in double figures. Filip Rajovic (198-97) replied with 16 points and 4 assists and American forward Patrick Burke (202-96, college: DBU) added 18 points in the effort for Copenhagen. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Naestved have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 4-2 record. Copenhagen lost third consecutive game. They keep the second place with four games lost. Naestved's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Randers on the road and it may be the game of the week. Copenhagen will play against the league's leader Horsens IC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
