Regular Season Round 3: Kyiv Basket - Dynamo-NPU 90-54

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Dynamo-NPU (1-1) on the court of Kyiv Basket on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Kyiv Basket 90-54. The game without a history. Kyiv Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Dynamo-NPU to just 7 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Dynamo-NPU 47-30 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kyiv Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kyiv Basket made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was center Veronika Liubinets (188-99) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. International forward Daria Zavidna (185-93) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Nataliia Tsiubyk (178-98) who recorded 13 points and guard Olha Sivakova (170-92) added 12 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kyiv Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dynamo-NPU will play on the road against BK Rivne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
