We should not miss the game where sixth ranked Elchingen (4-2) against one of their biggest challengers Fraport Skyliners II (3-3) where guest Elchingen crushed their opponents by twenty points 84-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fraport Skyliners II. American power forward Lamar Mallory (201-90, college: Glenville St.) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and center Kristian Kuhn (208-87, college: NAU) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Mallory is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Elchingen players scored in double figures. Even 17 points by Bruno Vrcic (197-0) did not help to save the game for Fraport Skyliners II. Center Cosmo Gruehn (204-98) added 11 points and 7 rebounds. Fraport Skyliners II's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Elchingen moved-up to third place in South, which they share with Speyer. Fraport Skyliners II at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Elchingen's next round opponent will be Speyer (#4) at home. Fraport Skyliners II will play against Oberhaching in Deisenhofen and hope to win that game.
