Regular Season Round 8: Taurages - Gargzdu 72-80

An interesting game took place in Taurage where higher ranked Taurages (4-3) was upset on its own court by ninth ranked Gargzdu (3-4) 80-72. Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-85, college: Virginia) orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points and 15 rebounds. Point guard Jonas Dumasius (188-97) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Forward Rytis Biliartas (201-91) replied with 19 points and point guard Karolis Babkauskas (185-91, agency: Agency) added 9 points and 7 assists in the effort for Taurages. Four Taurages players scored in double figures. Gargzdu moved-up to eighth place. Taurages at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Gargzdu's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Silales Lusis (#15) in Rietavas and are hoping to win another game. Taurages will play at home against Perlas (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
