Bottom-ranked Chernomorets (0-4) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to fourth ranked Beroe (3-1) 122-72 on Saturday evening. Beroe dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Chernomorets' 28. Beroe forced 24 Chernomorets turnovers and outrebounded them 41-24 including a 32-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Beroe looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The former international Ivan Lilov (194-88) fired 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American center Trey Moses (208-97, college: Ball St., agency: One Motive Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. Five Beroe players scored in double figures. Beroe's coach Lyubomir Minchev felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Blake Reynolds (201, college: Yale) produced 32 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Jamaal King (178, college: St.Francis, PA) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Beroe have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Rilski. Newly promoted Chernomorets still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Yambol. Beroe will meet at home Academic (#5) in the next round. Chernomorets will play against the league's second-placed Levski Lukoil (#2) in Sofia and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
