OrangeAcademy used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Tuenbingen 69-57 on Saturday night. OrangeAcademy outrebounded Young Tigers 48-22 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when OrangeAcademy made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was Latrell Grosskopf (201-1) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Hungarian center Adam Krasovec (205-1) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Mirjan Broening (183-1) who recorded 16 points and 5 assists and Matti Sorgius (196-1) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. OrangeAcademy will face HAKRO Merlins in Crailsheim in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
