The most surprising game was the first loss of Lions (5-1) in Eisenstadt on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by eleventh ranked Nord Dragonz (2-4) 83-80. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Lions. The hosts trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 26-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Nord Dragonz made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Bosnian-Slovenian center Fuad Memcic (209-82) scored 23 points and 9 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Dragisa Najdanovic (183-88) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Nord Dragonz is looking forward to face higher ranked Blackbirds (#3) in Jennersdorf in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Lions will play on the road against KOS in Celovec and are hoping to win this game.
