There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Oldenburg (2-4) defeated at home higher ranked Duesseldorf (3-3) 93-79 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was naturalized Bosnian point guard Robert Drijencic (194-96) who scored 29 points. Hendrik Drescher (207-0) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds. Oldenburg's coach Artur Gacaev allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Faton Jetullahi (188-94) who recorded 20 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Brady Rose (190-96, college: Illinois Wesleyan) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively. Four Oldenburg and five Duesseldorf players scored in double figures. Oldenburg moved-up to eighth place in North, which they share with 3 other teams. Duesseldorf lost third consecutive game.
