Everything could happen in Allmendingen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Gladiators and 8th ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule had identical 2-3 record. But Ehingen/Urspringschule was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Trier 76-69. Strangely Ehingen/Urspringschule outrebounded Gladiators 37-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Power forward Till Gloger (204-93, college: Maine) fired 22 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Jordan Geist (188-97, college: Missouri) chipped in 13 points. Gladiators' coach Christian Held allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American Erik Scheive (208-97, college: Chaminade, agency: Players Group) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and center Akim-Jamal Jonah (211-98, college: San Diego) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Gladiators (3-3) moved-up to eighth place. Ehingen/Urspringschule at the other side dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Gladiators' next round opponent will be Schalke (#10) at home. Ehingen/Urspringschule will play against BV Villingen-Schwenningen and hope to win that game.
