Regular Season Round 3: MBA - Chemnitz 75-95

Date: October 26, 2019
An interesting game where NINERS (#2) crushed host MBA (#1) with 20-point difference 95-75 on Saturday evening. NINERS forced 20 MBA turnovers and outrebounded them 47-25 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. NINERS looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when NINERS made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for Arne Makowka (196-2) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Yannick Von-Hain (180-2) helped adding 25 points. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian Daniel Baslyk (197-1, agency: Octagon Europe) with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and point guard Ole Sievers (186-2) scored 14 points and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. NINERS will meet at home Dresden T. (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. MBA will play against Junior Loewen in Braunschweig and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
