Rather predictable result when Galati (2-1) rolled over on the road Miercurea Ciuc (0-3) 86-52 on Saturday. The game without a history. Galati led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 20 Miercurea Ciuc turnovers and outrebounded them 42-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Serbian swingman Mihajlo Bogdanovic (197-96) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Montenegrin point guard Milos Krivokapic (185-96) contributed with 18 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Galati players scored in double figures. Canadian forward Meshack Lufile (203-92, college: Cape Breton) answered with 7 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian forward Bruno Spanja (203-95, agency: XL Basketball Agency) added 10 points in the effort for Miercurea Ciuc. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Galati will face Targu Mures (#6) at home in the next round. Miercurea Ciuc will play against Medias and hopes to get finally their first victory.
