Regular Season Round 6: Goetting.ASC - Bramsche TuS 89-77

There was no surprise in Goettingen where 8th ranked Bramsche TuS (2-4) was defeated by fourth ranked Goetting.ASC (4-1) 89-77 on Saturday. Goetting.ASC made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American center Matthew Husek (211, college: Holy Cross) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Nick Boakye (197-95) chipped in 23 points and 7 rebounds. Four Goetting.ASC players scored in double figures. Goetting.ASC's coach Sebastian Foerster allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian power forward Sasha Cuic (208-83, college: Oregon St.) who recorded 28 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Congolese forward Blanchard Obiango (202-88) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Goetting.ASC have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Wolmirstedt and Eimsbuetteler. Newly promoted Bramsche TuS dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Goetting.ASC will face Rendsburg (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bramsche TuS will play against Vechta-2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
