Regular Season Round 6: Rist Wedel - Bernau 67-59

The game in Wedel was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers SSV Lok Bernau (3-3) played at the court of fifth ranked SC Rist Wedel (4-2). SC Rist Wedel managed to secure a 8-point victory 67-59 on Sunday. SC Rist Wedel made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was forward Alexander Angerer (203-96) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Lithuanian center Aurimas Adomaitis (205-87, college: LIU Brooklyn) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Dan Oppland (203-84, college: Valpo) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and guard Alexander Blessig (188-93, college: Rollins) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Four SSV Lok Bernau players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. SC Rist Wedel moved-up to third place in North, which they share with Muenster. Loser SSV Lok Bernau dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. SC Rist Wedel will face league's leader Sixers in Sandersdorf in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SSV Lok Bernau will play on the road against RSV Eintracht (#12) in Stahnsdorf and hope to win that game.
