Regular Season Round 5: Horsens IC - Copenhagen 105-75

Second defeat of league's leader Copenhagen (2-2) against leader Horsens IC (5-0) 105-75 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Copenhagen. The game was mostly controlled by Horsens IC. Copenhagen managed to win third quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsens IC dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Copenhagen's 32 and made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Horsens IC looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Roberto Gallinat (190-96, college: Pacific, agency: Players Group) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!). His fellow American import point guard Otis Livingston-II (180-96, college: GMU) contributed with 26 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Horsens IC players scored in double figures. Horsens IC's coach Finnur Stefansson felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Filip Rajovic (198-97) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and forward Igor Bakic (195-0) added 22 points in the effort for Copenhagen. Horsens IC have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Copenhagen at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Horsens IC. Copenhagen will play next round against strong Randers trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Horsens IC will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Wolfpack in Herlev.
