There was no surprise in Vienna where 9th ranked Hallmann (1-5) was defeated by third ranked Gunners Oberwart (4-1) 101-93. The game without a history. Gunners Oberwart led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. American guard Lawrence Alexander (190-91, college: NDSU) nailed 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and forward Renato Poljak (197-97) accounted for 18 points and 10 rebounds. Five Gunners Oberwart players scored in double figures. American forward Brandon Conley (201-93, college: ORU) came up with 27 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and the former international Jason Detrick (195-80, college: Oklahoma) added 22 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) respectively for Hallmann in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Gunners Oberwart. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Gmunden. Hallmann lost their third game in a row.
