Regular Season Round 3: Goettingen - Braunschweig 78-88

There was a minor upset when BG Goettingen (1-2) was defeated at home by Junior Loewen (1-2) 88-78 on Sunday. Junior Loewen dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to BG Goettingen's 52. The best player for the winners was Oshane Drews (198-1) who scored 23 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Point guard Simon Roosch (198-1) chipped in 16 points. Five Junior Loewen players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Lennart Schultz (193-2) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Christopher Schultz (188-3) added 21 points and 4 steals respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Junior Loewen will face MBA in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BG Goettingen will play against Berlin T. and hope to win that game.
