No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Fraport Skyliners II (4-3) beat 12th ranked Oberhaching (1-6) in Deisenhofen 89-71 on Saturday. Fraport Skyliners II forced 19 Oberhaching turnovers and outrebounded them 29-15 including a 21-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for British point guard Jaz Bains (181-93, college: Queen's) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. American forward Nigel Pruitt (201-94, college: Kennesaw St.) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Worth to mention Pruitt played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. American-Czech point guard John Boyer (185-88, college: Buffalo) answered with 12 points and 7 assists and center Moritz Wohlers (203-84, college: MSUB) added 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Oberhaching. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Fraport Skyliners II moved-up to fourth place in South, which they share with Hanau and Speyer. Oberhaching lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Fraport Skyliners II will face White Wings (#6) in Hanau in the next round. Oberhaching will play on the road against Giessen 46ers II (#8) and hope to win that game.
