Regular Season Round 4: OGM Orman - Fenerbahce 65-80

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Ormanspor (3-1) in Ankara on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Fenerbahce (4-0) 80-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ormanspor. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Strangely Ormanspor outrebounded Fenerbahce 38-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Ukrainian swingman Alina Iagupova (186-92, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American power forward Elizabeth Williams (190-93, college: Duke) who added 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Arike Ogunbowale (173-97, college: Notre Dame) responded with 27 points and 5 rebounds and her fellow American import center Courtney Paris (191-87, college: Oklahoma) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Fenerbahce have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Ormanspor at the other side dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with Hatay. Fenerbahce are looking forward to face Botas (#7) in Adana in the next round where they are favorite. Ormanspor will play on the road against Izmit and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
