Very expected game when 9th ranked Hallmann (1-5) was smashed on the road by fourth ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (4-2) 94-73. The game without a history. Kapfenberg Bulls led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Hallmann's 28. They outrebounded Hallmann 41-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Kapfenberg Bulls players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Hallmann's players. American forward Jeremy Jones (201-96, college: Gonzaga) scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import swingman Keenan Gumbs (196-96, college: Liberty, agency: Green Sports Management) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Gumbs is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. Kapfenberg Bulls' coach Michael Coffin felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) with 22 points and Israeli center Anton Shoutvin (206-89) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds.
