Regular Season Round 6: Agronomia - Brasov 70-80

Another exciting game was played in Bucurest between fourth ranked Brasov and 5th ranked Agronomia where Brasov (3-2) beat Agronomia (2-3) on the road 80-70. The game was mostly controlled by Brasov. Agronomia was better in third quarter 18-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Brasov forced 19 Agronomia turnovers. It was a good game for Serbian-Bosnian center Nikolina Zubac (188-98) who led her team to a victory with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian Biljana Pesovic (180-83) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Anca Sipos (185-85) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and center Mihaela Chelariu (186-92) added 14 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Agronomia. Five Brasov and four Agronomia players scored in double figures. Agronomia's coach Milan Sokic let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Brasov moved-up to third place in Nationala. Agronomia at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Brasov will play against league's second-placed CSM Targoviste at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Agronomia will play against Phoenix Constanta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
