BSL top team - Dukes (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Timberwolves (0-4) in Vienna 107-73. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 16-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 107-73. Dukes dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Timberwolves' 28. They outrebounded Timberwolves 44-24 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dukes looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Timberwolves' players. It was a good game for Serbian Predrag Miletic (193-84) who led his team to a victory with 24 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international center Christoph Jakubowski (208-90) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Dukes players scored in double figures. Bosnian forward Nemanja Nikolic (202-89) replied with 23 points and 6 rebounds and forward Philipp D'Angelo (198-89) added 23 points in the effort for Timberwolves. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dukes have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Timberwolves at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Dukes are looking forward to face Gunners Oberwart (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Timberwolves will play against Arkadia Lions (#7) in Traiskirchen and hope to get finally their first victory.
