Regular Season Round 4: Fethiye - Balikesir 91-94

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Fethiye (3-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by Balikesir (4-0) 94-91. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fethiye. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Balikesir looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Myles Mack (178-93, college: Rutgers, agency: HMS) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. Center Marvin Jefferson (206-86, college: Idaho, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Erick Neal (178-95, college: UT Arlington) replied with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and forward Nick Ward (203-97, college: Michigan St.) added 26 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Fethiye. Five Balikesir and four Fethiye players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Balikesir have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Balikesir maintains first position with 4-0 record. Fethiye at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the second place with one game lost. They share the position with 5 other teams. Balikesir are looking forward to face Ankara B. (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Fethiye will play against the league's second-placed Final Spor (#2) in Bursa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
