Regular Season Round 4: Gemlik - Manisa 59-79

Bottom-ranked Gemlik is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to seventh ranked Manisa (3-1) 79-59. Manisa outrebounded Gemlik 42-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. American point guard Isiah Umipig (183-92, college: Seattle) fired 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Cenk Sekeroglu (203-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Four Manisa players scored in double figures. American forward Gary Johnson (198-88, college: Texas) produced 16 points and 8 rebounds and forward Murat Esen (195-90) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Manisa moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Newly promoted Gemlik still closes the standings with four games lost. Manisa's next round opponent will be Akhisar Bld (#12) at home and are hoping to win another game. Gemlik will play against Samsun and hopes to get finally their first victory.
