The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Randers as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Randers smashed leader Wolfpack at home 99-71. The game was mostly controlled by Randers. Wolfpack managed to win third quarter 20-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Randers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. French center Jonathan Jeanne (218-97, agency: Slash Sports) fired 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Josh Fortune (196-94, college: Colorado) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Fortune is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Randers players scored in double figures. American guard Javion Blake (190, college: Washburn, agency: Haylett Sports) produced 22 points and 5 assists and the other American import forward AJ Sumbry (203-94, college: Wagner, agency: Players Group) added 12 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Randers (7-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. which they share with defeated Wolfpack. Wolfpack at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. Wolfpack will play next round against strong Copenhagen trying to get back on the winning streak. Randers will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Vaerlose on the road.
