Regular Season Round 7: Duesseldorf - Iserlohn 90-89
Date: November 2, 2019
Very expected game when 11th ranked Iserlohn (2-5) was edged on the road by fifth ranked Duesseldorf (4-3) 90-89 on Saturday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Duesseldorf shot 62.1 percent from the field. Iserlohn was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American guard Brady Rose (190-96, college: Illinois Wesleyan) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 6 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Lithuanian forward Dainius Zvinklys (203-90) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized American Chris Frazier (182-90, college: Dubuque) answered with 25 points and Bosnian-Croatian power forward Jozo Brkic (211-86, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Iserlohn. Five Iserlohn players scored in double figures. Iserlohn's coach Milos Stankovic let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Duesseldorf moved-up to third place in North, which they share with 4 other teams. Iserlohn lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Duesseldorf will face league's leader Sixers in Sandersdorf in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Iserlohn will play at home against Muenster (#4) and hope to win that game.
