Regular Season Round 7: Aabyhoj - SISU 86-64

The game in Aabyhoj supposed to be also worth to mention about. 4th placed SISU (2-4) played at the court of sixth ranked Aabyhoj (2-4). Aabyhoj smashed SISU 86-64. The game was mostly controlled by Aabyhoj. SISU was better in fourth quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to SISU's 18. Aabyhoj forced 30 SISU turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by SISU's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Caroline Wich (185-96, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Matilde Madsen (180-0) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Coach Thomas Johansen's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international guard Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) answered with 17 points (made all of her eight free throws) and forward Josefine Haabegaard (182-99) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for SISU. Four SISU players scored in double figures. Aabyhoj moved-up to fourth place, which they share with SISU and Vaerlose. SISU lost third consecutive game. Aabyhoj will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. SISU will play at home against Herlev (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
