Regular Season Round 7: Amager - Lemvig 95-56

Bottom-ranked Lemvig (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 95-56 loss to second ranked Amager (5-1) in Kastrup on Saturday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. The game without a history. Amager led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lemvig to just 5 points in first quarter. Amager forced 30 Lemvig turnovers and had a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Lemvig's players. American forward Ruth Sherrill (183-94, college: Temple, agency: Interperformances) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Ena Viso (179-93, college: S.Dakota St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Amager's coach Lars Klussmann felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Kali Koenig (168-95, college: Mobile, AL) produced 22 points and the other American import guard Maddie Dackin (175-96, college: Ashland) added 7 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Defending champion maintains second place with 5-1 record behind leader Horsholm. Lemvig at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Amager are looking forward to face Vaerlose (#5) at home in the next round. Lemvig will play against the league's leader Horsholm and hopes to get finally their first victory.
