Regular Season Round 7: Bayern 2 - Coburg 66-74

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked FC Bayern II (3-4) lost to ninth ranked Coburg (3-4) in Muenchen 66-74 on Saturday. Coburg made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for Christopher Wolf (199-95) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds. British power forward Shore Adenekan (205-92, college: Seattle) contributed with 5 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Four Coburg players scored in double figures. Moritz Noeres (200-0) answered with 22 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his twelve free throws !!!) and Jacob Knauf (210-97) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for FC Bayern II. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Coburg. They moved-up to seventh place in South, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated FC Bayern II. Coburg will face higher ranked Speyer (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
