Regular Season Round 6: Brose Bask. - Goettingen 89-82
Date: November 3, 2019
Bottom-ranked BG Goettingen (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 89-82 loss to fifth ranked Brose Baskets (5-1) in Bamberg. Brose Baskets had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American forward Tre McLean (196-93, college: Chattanooga) notched 19 points to lead the effort and international forward Christian Sengfelder (203-95, college: Boise St.) supported him with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Even 19 points and 9 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) by American point guard Kyan Anderson (180-92, college: TCU, agency: Two Points) did not help to save the game for BG Goettingen. The former international guard Dominic Lockhart (198-94) added 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Brose Baskets have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Crailsheim and Ludwigsburg. BG Goettingen at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Brose Baskets' next round opponent will be Telekom Baskets (#11) in Bonn and are hoping to win another game. BG Goettingen will play at home against EWE Baskets (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
