Very predictable result when third ranked Gmunden Swans (5-1) won against at home 8th ranked UBSC Graz (1-5) 101-84. The game was mostly controlled by Gmunden Swans. UBSC Graz was better in second period 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gmunden Swans dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to UBSC Graz's 32. They outrebounded UBSC Graz 37-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. Gmunden Swans players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. American forward Jordan Loveridge (198-93, college: Utah) scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward Javion Ogunyemi (207-95, college: Siena) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. UBSC Graz at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Vienna. Gmunden Swans will play against Kapfenberg Bulls (#4) on the road in the next round. UBSC Graz will play against Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
