Very expected game when 12th ranked Schalke (2-6) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Bayer Giants (6-3) 81-76 on Sunday. Bayer Giants made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was center Dennis Heinzmann (216-91) who scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Serbian guard Nino Celebic (191-91) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Bayer Giants' coach Hansi Gnad used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) who recorded 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and center Adam Touray (208-94) added 19 points respectively.
