Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Ludwigsburg (3-2) beat at home 9th ranked Rhein Main Baskets (1-5) 85-70 on Sunday. They outrebounded Rhein Main Baskets 46-24 including a 22-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Viktoria Krell (178-85, college: Lindsey Wilson) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 24 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Leonie Elbert (169-96) chipped in 27 points during the contest. Five Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Canadian guard Jamie Hutcheson (175, college: MCC Toronto) with 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Alica Koehler (180-92) scored 6 points. Ludwigsburg moved-up to fourth place in South, which they share with Bad Homburg. Loser Rhein Main Baskets keep the ninth position with five games lost. Ludwigsburg will face league's leader Ladybaskets Wuerzburg on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
