Fourteenth-ranked Phoenix Hagen (2-7) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Science City Jena (7-2) on Sunday. Science City Jena managed to secure only two-point victory 103-101. However their fans expected much easier game. Science City Jena made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Phoenix Hagen lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the fifteenth position with seven games lost. Science City Jena will meet Uni Baskets (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Phoenix Hagen will play against the league's second-placed Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#2) and hope to secure a win.
