Regular Season Round 9: Karlsruhe PS - Schwenningen 79-82

A very interesting game took place in Karlsruhe. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 10th ranked Lions (3-6) to eleventh ranked BV Villingen-Schwenningen (3-5) 82-79 in the game for the tenth place. BV Villingen-Schwenningen made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. American forward Rasheed Moore (196-95, college: E.Stroudsburg) nailed 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Jaren Lewis (198-96, college: Abil.Christian) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized American guard Daniel Norl (188-95, college: Omaha) came up with 18 points and American guard Marcus Stroman (188-96, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Haylett Sports) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for Lions in the defeat. Five BV Villingen-Schwenningen and four Lions players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. BV Villingen-Schwenningen moved-up to tenth place. Lions at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. BV Villingen-Schwenningen's next round opponent will be higher ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lions will play against Kirchheim Knights (#17) and hope to win that game.
