Regular Season Round 7: Ulm BBU 01 - Mannheim 89-64

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked BBU 01 Ulm and 10th ranked Mannheim had identical 2-4 record. This time BBU 01 Ulm used a home court advantage and outplayed the opponent from Mannheim 89-64 on Sunday night. BBU 01 Ulm dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Mannheim's 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Quite impressive performance for forward Moritz Krimmer (202-0) who helped to win the game recording 30 points (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Naturalized American point guard Zachary Ensminger (194-1) contributed with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Swingman Alexander Kuhn (198-92) answered with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Polish Slawomir Klocek (192-84) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Mannheim. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BBU 01 Ulm (3-4) moved-up to seventh place in South-West, which they share with 4 other teams. Mannheim lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. BBU 01 Ulm will face league's leader Karlsruhe SC on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mannheim will play against HAKRO Merlins II (#3) and hope to win that game.
