Regular Season Round 6: Istanbul Univ. - Bosna 34 76-62

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Bosna 34 (1-4) was defeated on the road by top-ranked Istanbul Uni (6-0) 76-62 on Sunday. Istanbul Uni forced 23 Bosna 34 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Yagmur Bul (164-96) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Swingman Sugranur Sonmez (183-1) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. Four Istanbul Uni players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard JKyra Brown (180, college: Virginia) who recorded 27 points and 8 rebounds and center Kubra Dicle (187-92, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Istanbul Uni have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Emlak Konut. Bosna 34 lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Istanbul Uni will meet at home Antalya 07 (#4) in the next round. Bosna 34 will have a break next round.
