Very expected game in Istanbul where 13th ranked ITU BB (1-5) was rolled over by third ranked Anadolu Efes (5-1) 108-62 on Sunday. Anadolu Efes dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to ITU BB's 24. They outrebounded ITU BB 43-32 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Anadolu Efes shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by ITU BB's players. The best player for the winners was the former international center Sertac Sanli (211-91) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American James Anderson (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) chipped in 16 points. Four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Bahamas forward Dwight Coleby (206-94, college: WKU, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Matt Mobley (190-94, college: St.Bonaventure) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anadolu Efes have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Tofas and Fenerbahce. Loser ITU BB keeps the thirteenth position with five games lost. Anadolu Efes will face Gaziantep (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ITU BB will play against Bandirma and hope to win that game.
