Regular Season Round 7: Triglav - Jezica 55-63

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kranj. Leader Jezica faced 4th placed Triglav. Guests from Ljubljana (5-0) defeated host Triglav (3-3) 63-55. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Triglav. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-10. But Triglav won third quarter 17-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Sandra Bajrektarevic (170-90) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 4 steals. Nina Jesensek (172-98) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Jezica's coach Mojca Markovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Gala Kramzar (163-99) answered with 9 points and 13 rebounds and Bosnian Lejla Omerbasic (182-97) added 16 points in the effort for Triglav. Jezica have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 5-0 record behind leader Celje. Triglav at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Grosbasket. Jezica will play against Ledita D. (#3) in Domzale in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Triglav will play at home against Ilrija and hopes to get back on the winning track.
